Education Pillar
BKreative: Expanding Access for the Creative Sector
BK Foundation partnered with Bank of Kigali and the Ministry of Youth and A=
rts to launch BKreative, a new platform supporting Rwanda=E2=80=99s creativ=
e industry and its role in jobs and growth.
BKreative provides access to loan from Rwf 50 million to Rwf 1 billion for =
production, equipment, and working capital, designed to strengthen and grow=
 the creative industry.
It also supports skills development and market access through a digital mar=
ketplace and learning platforms, helping creatives grow and sustain their w=
ork.

Empowerment Pillar
Integrated Agribusiness Program: Strengthening Smallholder Systems
BK Foundation partnered with Bank of Kigali to advance the Integrated Agrib=
usiness Program, strengthening smallholder farmers through training, financ=
ing, and market access.
The program targets 13,490 farmers, with 17 trainers delivering support in =
smart agriculture, financial literacy, and market linkages, starting with r=
ice and coffee value chains.
By closing a key financing gap, farmers access smaller, practical funding a=
longside training and markets. This is improving productivity, expanding ac=
tivity to 15,000 hectares in some areas, and driving better incomes, food s=
ecurity, and resilience.
BLOOM Africa Project: Expanding Opportunities for Youth
BK Foundation partnered with World Vision Rwanda to launch a new project ca=
lled BLOOM, focused on helping young people build skills and improve their =
livelihoods.
The five-year program supports 8,000 youth, with strong focus on girls and =
young women, and reaches over 39,000 people across 13 districts. It priorit=
izes vulnerable groups, including youth from low-income families, teenage m=
others, and people with disabilities.
The project builds practical skills, improves access to finance, and connec=
ts youth to jobs and business opportunities, helping them earn income and m=
ove into more stable livelihoods.
Environmental Conservation & Sustainability
Tree Planting and Community Ownership
BK Foundation partnered with SEI and Bank of Kigali to take part in a commu=
nity tree planting activity as part of the 60 years celebration of Bank of =
Kigali, strengthening environmental sustainability and community action.
In Kimihurura Sector, Gasabo District, about 3,500 trees were planted, cont=
ributing to a larger goal of 50,000 trees with an 85 percent survival rate.
The initiative, implemented with SEI and Rwanda Forestry Authority, combine=
s planting, monitoring, and community engagement, with training and support=
 to VSLAs and school environmental clubs to sustain impact.
